JVD acquires Hygitec and asserts its leadership in PPE hygiene
JVD has officially acquired Hygitec, a specialist in the design and manufacture of drying and disinfection cabinets for personal protective equipment (PPE). This acquisition marks a key milestone in the company’s growth, expanding its range of protection solutions and strengthening its position in the agri-food industry market.
Through this strategic move and the recent acquisition of Novven, a company specializing in civil protection, JVD is establishing itself as the European leader in drying and disinfection solutions for professional clothing and PPE.
“This acquisition represents a new step in JVD’s development. By integrating Hygitec, we are enhancing our ability to offer complete solutions that meet the needs of professionals exposed to pollutants and the risks of infection or contamination. Together, we will continue to innovate to improve workplace safety and comfort,” said Thierry Launois, CEO of JVD.

PPE safety and hygiene: a complete offering for uncompromising protection
With Hygitec joining Novven in JVD’s newly formed “Protection” division, a strong synergy is created—offering the dynamic PPE market comprehensive solutions for drying and care. Based on an eco-friendly technology combining heat, ventilation, and UV rays, Hygitec’s drying and disinfection cabinet eliminates bacteria, viruses, and other contaminants through ozone-powered forced-air drying. In addition to disinfecting equipment, it also extends its lifespan, making daily life easier for professionals in the food industry and public institutions looking to maintain their workwear.
“PPE is becoming increasingly technical, expensive, and shared. It was therefore essential for a group like JVD to offer a full range of innovative products to ensure their longevity, performance, and safe shared use,” added Thierry Launois.
A projet rooted in sustainable and local production
JVD is fully integrating Hygitec, which will benefit from JVD’s expertise, its subsidiaries, and its extensive commercial network to accelerate its growth and expand internationally.
Hygitec products will continue to be manufactured at its site in Aix-les-Bains. The company will retain its current premises and organization in Savoie, while receiving support from JVD’s headquarters in Nantes.
As a pioneer in the circular economy, the group will share its expertise to incorporate a refurbished product offering into the activities of its new company.
